Oculus Rift

Luckey began creating many VR prototypes, with features like 3D steroscopy, and 270 degree field of view, while reducing their size. Eventually, he created the "Rift" and created a Kickstarter for the Rift. He launched the Oculus VR in April 2012. This caught the interest of John Carmack, who showed it of at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2012, and it got the attention of thousands of people. Oculus VR was later bought by Facebook for $3 billion.
